Privacy notice
This notice covers www.vlg-solution.com, run by VLG Technology Co., Limited (Hong Kong). It explains what we collect when you send us an inquiry and which outside services the site uses.
What the inquiry form collects
- What you type: your name and email address and, depending on the form, your company, phone number, country or target market, the product you ask about and your message.
- The language of the form and the time you sent it.
- Your answer to “How did you find us?”, if you choose one. The question is optional.
How you found our site
When you open the site, your browser notes the following in its session storage for that tab. This is not a cookie.
- the domain of the website that sent you here, such as google.com, never the address of the page you came from;
- the first page you opened on our site;
- campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content);
- whether the link carried an advertising click identifier such as gclid: only its name, never its value;
- the time of your first visit in that tab.
Nothing is sent until you submit an inquiry. It then goes with the inquiry, together with the page you sent it from. Closing the tab clears it.
Why we use it
- To reply to your inquiry.
- To learn which channels (search engines, AI assistants, trade shows, recommendations and others) bring inquiries, so we can improve the site.
Where it is kept
Your inquiry and its source information are kept together in the site's database, hosted on Cloudflare. Staff who handle inquiries read them in the site's content management system.
When an inquiry arrives, our sales team gets an email alert through the email service Resend. The alert carries the reference, company, product, country, form language and how you found us, but not your message, email address or phone number.
Your IP address is not stored with the inquiry. To stop abuse, the site keeps a ten-minute counter keyed by a one-way code made from it.
Other services on this site
On www.vlg-solution.com the site also loads:
- Google Analytics, with the page, to count visits and see how pages are used;
- Google Tag Manager, when you first interact with the page or a few seconds after it loads. It loads Google Ads tags (conversion measurement and remarketing) and further Google Analytics tags;
- the Tawk.to chat window, at the same time. If you use the chat, your messages go to Tawk.to;
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, a page-view counter our hosting provider adds to each page.
The contact pages also show a Google Maps map.
These services are run by Google, Tawk.to and Cloudflare under their own privacy policies. They can receive technical data such as your IP address and may set cookies. The site tells the Google tags that advertising storage, the use of your data for advertising and ad personalisation are denied by default (Google consent mode).
Your choices
- You can leave “How did you find us?” unanswered.
- Blocking site data in your browser, or closing the tab, clears the stored source information.
