UHF Antenna Types
The diverse applications of the UHF band (300MHz-3GHz) have given rise to various specially designed antenna types, each playing a core role in different scenarios with their unique structural characteristics.
1. Yagi-Uda Antenna
Composed of a set of parallel metal elements, including one active dipole and multiple passive reflectors and directors, it features strong directional radiation. Due to its simple structure and high gain, it is widely used for TV signal reception, especially for 定点 capturing distant UHF band TV signals, commonly seen in home and outdoor TV reception.
2. Log-Periodic Antenna
Consisting of a series of dipole elements with gradually changing lengths arranged in a specific periodic pattern, it has ultra-wideband characteristics (covering multiple UHF sub-bands). From TV and radio signal reception to signal forwarding in wireless communication systems, its flexible frequency adaptation capability makes it a versatile antenna for multiple scenarios.
3. Panel Antenna
Adopting a flat rectangular or square design with an integrated microstrip array structure inside, it is small in size and has stable directionality. Widely used in Wi-Fi routers, signal boosters, RFID identification, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, it is particularly suitable for space-constrained indoor or vehicle-mounted environments, efficiently transmitting short to medium-range UHF signals.
4. Parabolic Reflector Antenna
With a parabolic reflector dish as the core and a feed horn at its focal point, it can focus and reflect signals for long-distance transmission. It is mostly used in long-distance scenarios such as point-to-point communication, CCTV systems, and base station backhauls. With its high gain, it can maintain stable UHF signal transmission over tens of kilometers.
These antenna types, through differentiated designs in structure and performance, collectively form full-scenario coverage of the UHF band from short-range interconnection to long-distance communication.
